Dozens of victims have been evacuated today after a deadly flood hit settlements in Western Greece, officials have confirmed to reporters. At least seven people were killed and several injured when a deadly storm attacked the north of the country on Thursday.
No death linked to today's floods has so far been reported.
Besides loss of property the Sunday floods have blocked roads in the neighbourhood of cities like of Nafpaktos and Patra four hours before they reopened.
“Many homes and shops are flooded near the city of Nafpaktos ... there are damages to homes, shops and cars,” a fire service official told Reuters.
Floods are not common in this part of the country.
