University of Kigali holds 4th graduation ceremony

Prof. Mannaseh Nshuti a Rwandan  renowned academic while addressing the parents and graduates at the 4th graduation ceremony of the University of Kigali today said that Rwanda invests a lot of hope in the graduates as leaders of today and tomorrow.


“Dear graduates that have made us gather here today count yourselves fortunate. You’re our cream and our hope as a country.  I have no doubt that most of you are going to be leaders in Rwanda in many fields, politics included,” Prof Nhusti said.


“It is my wish that you utilize the knowledge and skills to transform your families, the business world, the Rwandan society and create a positive impact globally,” he added.



At least 1500 students have completed their undergraduate and post graduate degree courses in various academic fields.


Situated in the heart of Kigali the University of Kigali which boasts of a regional image started in 2013 and has grown steadily to become one of the leading private universities in Rwanda and in region.


Chancellor Dr David Macrae at the University of Kigali called on the fresh graduates to use the qualifications they have received to develop their families and the country at large.  


The Light Magazine talked to Ms Gisele Umuhoza who has studied Finance. Umuhoza who was visibly lost for words and tears of joy had filled her eyes said that the journey has been tough but with the Grace of God, patience and hard work she has finally got a degree in Finance.

 “I am happy, indeed. The Dee Day has finally come, I have to say the journey has been tough. But, with God’s Grace, patience, self-motivation and hard work I have completed successfully my first degree in Finance,” observed Umuhoza.
